1. Addition or subtraction of the same rational number on both sides of the unequivalent.
2. Multiplication or division on both sides of an inequation with a positive rational number.
3. Multiplication or division on both sides of an inequation with a negative rational number and reversing the unequal signs.

Example:

– 3 ∙ x + 3 > 12     | – 3

– 3 ∙ x > 9             | : (– 3)

x < – 3
